This is a perfect example of what I was talking about.  You and I have 
different histories in different locations.  You and I can (and do, 
apparently) arrive at completely different conclusions from the same 
input stimulus (here, a bunch of names and numbers).

I was completely facetious and off-the-wall.
Your response, OTOH, seemed sober and well considered.

Considering that we share the same language and culture, it would seem 
reasonable to assume that misunderstandings would easily arise if two 
conversationalists were from different cultures and had different levels 
of familiarity with the language being used.
