Nope. Boeing sold the 737 and the 747 side by side. The dreamliner is in
effect a long range 737.
Yes the 737 is more numerous than the 747 & I am sure the dreamliner
will be more numerous than the 380 however the relevant airbus model would
be a better comparator & the 380 should be compared to the 747 new
model (or indeed almost any 747 sold after the 380 goes into proper
production).
&....has this dreamliner flown yet? So any/many delays? No reason to
think it will break the golden rule of new aircraft designs & that as
such it will be on time.
