From: "Phil Payne" > I think LED lights are going to be the way to go, got a few LED flashlights > and I can't believe how long the batteries last in these things. They're now completely standard in the auto business. They make great working lights - Snap-off, Sealey, Sykes-Pickavant all sell rechargeable 70-LED inspection lights. Durability is phenomenal and safety is terrific - dropping an incandescent bulb into spilt fuel is a nightmare. I have a single-LED pencil and a ten-LED jobbie run by three D-cells. The battery life of the latter is given as 10,000 hours. I also have a 12-LED head torch that's configurable to use 4, 8 or all 12 depending on your needs. I'm now looking for a fibre optics jobbie for inspecting cylinder bores through spark plug holes. --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 379/45 1 633/267 |
