That's not correct. An illegal copy of XP Pro will continue to work but
will not be able to use the MS update service or install any service
packs. What's really silly about that is an illegal copy is not
restricted from installing hot fixes. Hot fixes all lumped together
plus other fixes comprise what's known as a service pack.
