I understood your comments John, its just not mysterious that one
generation learns from another.  However, to last thousands of years where
the beliefs don't become meaningless hollow things or non-existent all
together, requires MORE than just "my father did it so I'll do
it" kind of thinking.

Also, my parents were both protestant.  I'm a catholic, and have never been
anything but catholic.
