I downloaded it from the btxe site last sunday, installed it (after saving
old version) and it worked 100% fine, both maxcomm & asynch versions..

You did copy all the files over?

extract from my directory:

10-05-98 2:06 21,782 binkpipe.exe
10-05-98 2:06 11,237 bink_pm.dll
10-05-98 2:06 419,514 bt32.exe
10-05-98 2:06 996 bt32.ico
10-05-98 2:06 46,285 BTUTIL32.EXE
10-05-98 2:06 93,853 language.txt
10-05-98 2:06 6,908 maxcomm.dll
10-05-98 2:06 9,131 mcp32.dll
10-05-98 2:06 20,942 toss.exe

I renamed the main exe's to bt32.exe such that I didn't need to change all
my batchfiles.

Otherwise, I simply closed down my various binkley's, and then restarted
them with the new exe's and it works great. (At least the BBS didn't
crash at all over the last week while I was gone)
