subject: Adding procs to queries

PR>I just started writing a data entry application using Paradox 5.0 for
PR>Windows because the place where I volunteer has standardized on that for
PR>a DB package. I have some experience in Access and VB, and am having
PR>problems trying to do some things that are simple in Access. For
PR>example, Access lets you build a query field using a function, either
PR>custom or supplied (like IIF). Say I want a QBE field to contain
PR>either the contents of table field A or table field B depending on the
PR>contents of table field C. In Access I could write
PR>IIF(FieldC="Something",FieldA, FieldB). I can't find anything in my
PR>Paradox documentation that describes how to do this, and trying to put
PR>the function in a query column doesn't work, either, with or without a
PR>CALC. Can this be done in Paradox? Thanks for any help.

sorry for my english first ... but Paradox seems to be very short for
that kind of request ... it seems to be impossible ... in the next release
  maybe ????
