Good news, bad news! There are times when the air up there should not escape,
like at the beginning of a very hot sunny day. While the trapped air is
ooler
than outside air it helps keep the rooms below cool. But later [2pm?] the
oof
air will be too darned hot and it should be driven out otherwise it will heat
up the rooms below.
Ideally, there should be a temperature responsive vent that stays closed
normally then opens fully when the roof air is too hot. Cheers.......ALEC
