subject: Connection Problems

While listening to David Drummond Pete heard:Connection Problems

G'day David

MR> I have the same problem. it appears its a bug common with Telix
MR> as well as a number of other comms programs. It seems to be
MR> connected with the original signal that comes down the line.

MR> With a 14400 modem with 42 bis on the original connect will come
MR> back as 38400 and Telix appears to use that speed to calculate
 MR> the transfer time.

DD> I think that Telix has never heard of 31,200 or 33,600. If I
DD> dial in here from work and get a 31,200 connect, I notice Telix
DD> says 1200 on the status line.

I get that occasionly with Telix 3.22 DOS but it's not just restricted
to greater than 28800 connects as it happens with other speeds as
well.
