LG> Unfortunatly, one of my cat's is slightly nerotic, he keeps
LG> stirring up the litter until, I tell him to stop.
DR>
DR> My new kitten does something like that near her food. After she
DR> finishes eating she will scrape around the edge of the outside of the
DR> plate or bowl for several minutes...several minutes...several
DR> minutes... and this continues until I yell her name a few hundred times
DR> and ask her if she has lost her freakin' mind. Then she walks away as
DR> if nothing happened. Any idea why she does this? I have tried
DR> different foods, different feeding times, different locations... I'm
DR> thinking of trying a different cat. Not really, but...she's
DR> driving me batty with this. I keep hearing scrape, scrape, scratch,
DR> scrape, scrape, scrape, scrape, scrape...My older cat just looks at me
DR> like I know what is wrong with Honey. No clue...
My cat does that before she drinks from he water dish, and does it after
eating. Something about covering/uncovering food and water I guess.
