No you don't need to disable COM2. You only need set the jumpers on the
internal modem and configure it as COM4 using IRQ3. Then run your
terminal software setup menu to use COM4 & IRQ3.
You could then use either COM2 or COM4 as you please though obviously
not both at the same time. Using both at the same time would be only
slightly trickier. Simply select an unused IRQ for COM4 i.e. IRQ2.
