I got the latest Mercandian version of mbsebbs-caf951e6064c.tar.bz2 and it
is the 95.12 of version.

It was wrong why the names is actually ebegin and eend for those 2 line
there gives the error, and normal is the installing works for me, but
trying to first use a older stable version of 0.92.0 that i got hand of
from the download page, give error by ./configure and make.
The way I normal do it is first as root download the mbsebbs-*.tar.bz2 and
this time give me the latest mercandian version.
then I run as root /tmp
tar xfvj mbebbs-*.tar.bz2
sh ./SETUP.sh
When root job here is done and look fine done, I change to another tty
console and login as mbse user.
but after this have I copied from /root/tmp/ mbsebbs-*.tar.bz2 to
/opt/mbse/ and the one in /opt/mbse/ been change of permission and owner
and group to be mbse.bbs
Then login as mbse.bbs
tar xfvj /opt/mbse/mbsebbs-*.tar.bz2
cd ~/mbsebbs-(version)
./configure
make
su (to root) + root pwd
make install
checking all is done.
seing that from make install that mbsebbs shoud be installed in runlevel.
exit
back to mbse user login
logout af mbse and go to first login console there is root.
test the runs for mbsebbs
/etc/init.d/mbsebbs restart
And it is here come the 2 errors of ebegin and eend ind
/etc/init.d/mbsebbs, and mbsebbs is not been started of the errors.
The file in xinetd.d is too missing. This have I no self made out from the
2 other pc's there running mbse.
When I can get this installation to work with start up right, will I use mc
to copy some files for mbse setup and data files from my ftp file harddisk
( those is copied for another working mbse there is a working install ) to
the new 64bit install and then run in directory /mbsebbs-0.95.12 make and
su to root + make install, it will update the old version 0.95.6 to lates
version.
Take care,
Gert
