Oh dear, they're manufactured by the same company too.  Yet another massive
footshot by NetComm, perhaps?

Can you connect with any other M34Fs?  Perhaps it's not your modem at fault
(ask Paul Edwards what he thinks of the NetComm M34F).

Looks OK to me, although I'd be changing %E1 to %E2 and extending S7 to 60
seconds purely as a matter of course, but neither of those are responsible
for your current problem.  Maybe some NetComm-literate person in here can
help, but if your Avtek works OK with the majority of other V.34 modems,
I'd be inclined to point the finger at the M34F myself.
