| subject: | Laplink in vdm problem |
Greetings Lynn,
LN>GU> I'm using a LapLink cable which is essentially a null modem cable.
LN>GU>The cable and sofware work fine when I run DOS 6.22 rather than OS/2.
LN>Sounds like your problem might be the cable. I am using a real laplink
The cable that I am using is a genuine Travelling Software supplied
cable with both a 25 pin and 9 pin head at each end. As I mentioned
everything works fine when I run MS-DOS rather than OS/2.
To date I've tried various settings which had been recommended to no
avail. I even went so far as to build a VMD to boot MS-DOS 6.22 in a
VDM and cannot get LapLink to work. Curiously in the latter scenario I
did get MSCDEX to work and recognize my Chinon CD-ROM drive, but that is
another issue altogether ...
LN>Laplink 3.0a settings for Warp 3 FP22
Thank you for your Laplink III settings. I will try plugging those
values in for my LapLink 2.01 configuration and see if I can make a
connection.
Best Regards,
Greg
