If Word 7 works the same as Word 6 in this regard.  Use a table.  Select the 
cells that you would like decimal aligned.  On the ruler, place a decimal tab 
where you would like it aligned.  When you enter information in the so 
formatted cells, you will not need to insert a TAB first.  Just type the 
number.  It will align on the decimal tab setting.
Then, for the bottom, insert a formula.  There is a formula configuration 
that adds the above items.
