Do you have the pest...earwig"?  We have been having a lot of trouble 
with the little beggar.  They arrived here from Europe not too long 
back (10, 20, 30 years?). They have been getting into the odd pepper.  
My husband looks for a tiny hole and those he has had to pick.  They 
are still green, but I can use them up in cooking.
