subject: Are you Y2K Compliant?

GV> The DATE command shows my PC is Y2K compliant
GV> A common, but extremely misleading way to test for Year
GV> 2000 compliance is to set the date in DOS or Windows to
GV> 12/31/1999 and the time to around 23:59:50. After
GV> waiting 20 seconds or so, the date shows 1/1/2000 and

GV> Maybe, but probably not. In most cases, the PC will not

Only one more step is required. And that's to reboot and check the cmos
settings. If it's 2000, you're ok. Also, even though DOS 6.22 request the
date as mm-dd-yy, it will correctly accept mm-dd-yyyy.
