Not sustained yield on a reasonable size incompressible file, you didn't :)
Your Avtek does among the quickest V.32bis / LAPM around; I've commented
before on your consistent 1680/1690 CPS out of here, with Janus even, on
largish mail files; and that's still happening, I see.
So, let's say you _could_ get to 1700cps {at} V.32bis on an excellent line, on
large incompressible files; that's about as good as it gets (assuming
ZedZap aka 8k Zmodem), right? Actually, 1700 is quite achievable using
MNP4.
That's 1700 / 1440 = 118%. So 3360 x 118% = 3967 CPS. 4000 CPS would be
119% at 33600bps, equivalent to _1714_ CPS at 14400. Um, I'm with Arthur,
at least till we see a matched pair of logs to the contrary :)
