Got all of them... at home. My complaint was specifically about those times
when I (or anyone else here) is somewhere where we have to use a slow
and/or expensive connection. This is getting to be more common, not less,
because "we" have less free time than "we" used to and
"we" increasingly have to fit
'net use into parts of the day when it was once not possible. I spent 3
hours at a ballet studio today reading news and mail on my PDA. A couple of
years ago I'd have been reading a good book instead.

Also, plain text email/newsgroups is readable on the current generation of
GPRS/T3G PDAs and smartphones. Bloated HTML and images make it tooth-
grindingly slow and waste the limited screen real estate. Even the USA is a
few years away from ubiquitous (and wireless) broadband and big, foldable/
rollable screens are not here yet either.
