Hi Robin,

RP> :) She will.
And, even with her dad home for just a couple of days, she's finding
that she has to rethink priorities.
RP> I guess I get enough of those from my husband, my dad, and my son.
RP> Even my daughter is beginning to use them. Oy.
But they make life fun! There's a few of us in our church that have a
good stock of groaners. It's usually the quiet folks too, that make the
worst ones.
> I like James Mitchner, Tom Clancy and (some of) Barbara Taylor
> Bradford.
RP> I've read a few of Michener's and didn't much care for them, but
RP> Clancy's pretty good. Don't recognize BTB. What does she write?
"A Woman of Substance", "Hold the Dream", "Angel", "The Women In His
LIfe" to name a few. She has managed to incoroprate Bichon Frises (a
cute little dog, we had one once) onto a number of her books; she has
some herself.
RP> I don't think I'll be getting back to school for a long time, if
RP> ever. Jesse begins full days in first grade here. But, I'm keeping
Well, if it's meant to be for you to go, then you will get back. It's
good you're keeping busy with other thnigs though.
RP> Over 2000, but I don't know by how much. They're trying to build
RP> another school here, too. Two schools, in fact - a HS and an
RP> elementary. The community is growing so quickly! Unfortunately, the
RP> most emphasis is placed on keeping up with the number of students.
RP> I'd like to see some curriculum changes, more computers, etc.
Seems something always falls by the wayside. How are they in the fine
arts department? So many schools seem to be cutting that out now and
it's very much a needed part of education.
> Yes, my mom's sewing ability is about zilch. Her sister made my dress.
> Last night I did most of one bride's maids dress. It went together

> I get the horsehair braid & the girl gets her shoes. Rachel didn't
RP> Where does the horsehair braid go?
Around the hem to give it a bit of stiffness and stand out a bit. The
new "Threads" magazine has an article about using it as a decorative
trim. After seeing it; I don't know if I would use it for "fancy" work.
> You and me both! You've been thru it so you know how I'm feeling. I
> really appreciate the support you've given me thru this, believe me!
RP> :) Thanks. It's easier to understand something you have
RP> experienced. I was an ignoramus about coping with death until
RP> recently. I *tried* to help, but now I know how poor my efforts were
RP> because I hadn't experienced it for myself.
Yes, but now you can minister to people more effectively, having gone
thru the los of your mom. A friend of ours is active with SIDS support
groups because she lost a baby to it.
I'm looking to see if we have any children's craft books still. I know
the girls have a number of books in their rooms but not sure if there
are any crafting ones. I'm also still trying to hunt down the cross
stitch catalog that had the easy to do kitten in it.
Catch you later,
Ruth
