PS>> Collage, Live, L'Uomo, and Felona e Serona, are worth it.
 DM> For $10: _Uomo Di Pezza_ Philips 6323 013A
 DM> For $15: _Collage_ 6323 007A
DM> Judging from the catalog numbers, I guess these would be among the
DM> "early" Le Orme... When I'm feeling a bit richer I'll have to
DM> place an order with Sir Topham @ compuserve:
Write me for Sir Topham's compuserve address... if you would.
Basically, I like all of Le Orme's stuff all the way through. Even
in VERITA NASCOSTE, the material is very nice, though in that album
and SMOGMAGICA, they added a guitar player, which added a little
bit of humor to the band. Still lovely stuff.
DM> Would _Collage_ be a good place to start with Le Orme, or would
DM> something else be better? Then there's untranslated PFM to
 DM> consider as well...
Collage is a great start. Like I say all of them are. Felona e Serona,
if you get the english version is translated by Peter Hammill. It's
worth gettin both, though they are exactly the same other than the
vocals.. I happen to like the italian version better, as the singer
is DEFINITELY more comfortable with it.

PS> ... Roy Wood ... the stuff he does solo is so creative
PS> and off the wall, and such an entertaining listen....
DM> I found _Boulders_ in an import CD closeout sale bin in
DM> Ann Arbor last year. Amazin'. I'd sure like to come across
DM> _Wizzard's Brew_ on polycarbonate one of these daze two...
I recommend MUSTARD, and I have a liking for EDDIE AND THE FALCONS,
which is a massive fifties sendoff and satire. The music is so damn
good that it is hard to believe that the sucker played all the instruments
in the album.
DM> Finally bought Gong's _You_ and listened to it the other night.
DM> Seems like a decent hybrid of the jazzrockfusion and hippie
DM> silliness tendencies. Then I couldn't resist _In The Wake Of
DM> Poseidon_ and _Focus 3_ at a used CD store the other day (as
DM> well as a couple nontopical items)... And so, the wallet
DM> grows lighter. Life's too cheap to drink short beer. TTYL.
Man.... you're waking up this old man. I still have Focus, but I
discarded a lot of KC a long time ago. Just got tired of the
repetition.
DM> Old Horslips fans should like them...)
Man, I would love to find some Horslips right now, their first three
albums specially.
