Hey Carol! MK> Ah! I've seen those in movies or TV shows. Never ran across one in r MK> life unless you count telex machines, which were simular ... I think. CS> Archival stuff now ;-) For sure! That is where the real action is. Especially if one can go the distance. Mind you that is true with all sorts of things. Right? CS> I was the admin, but they had other guys above me who made lots more CS> money, who were there too. I was the mere SysOp ;-) Users of course CS> were lower than me! Yep. Stuff like that never bothered me at all. If stuff was useful I used it, if not I wrote something that was. Hence the HUGE printout at the end of all that although that turned out to be a total waste of time and paper. Still, I didn't know that at the time and might have regretted if I didn't. No regrets. Right? CS> Ah I had a BBS by 1987 but didnt go Fido til 1988 or 89 or so. I had a BBS but not Fido until I moved to the Island. 1997. MK> I see it is still cutting off lines. CS> Didnt notice anything at all different. I did. The last couple were almost perfect. This one might fare better. Only losing a couple letters at the end of long lines now. Do you enjoy making things tough for others? ;-) - Maurice --- Hacked v0.1b* Origin: Coffin Point (1:261/38.9) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 261/38 123/500 106/2000 633/267 |
