Some modems allow you to redirect the speaker output to the internal PC
speaker. If you can do that, you can link your modem speaker to the
SoundBlaster since some models of the SoundBlaster (and such sound cards)
allow you to connect the PC speaker through the sound card.
However, remember that some models reset to maximum volume on powerup, and
if your PC beeps on startup....
If you want to record a conversation, you could redirect the modem speaker
to the CD input or to the line in port. Remember, though, that if you want
to record conversations, you may need to get permission from Austel or
Tel$tra. For most of us, recording such conversations may still be
illegal.
