By loading the strings from a table (external data file?) you can use the same table with any operating system. doing it in the source means that different string sets (for different international versions of the software) would need to be compiled for each operating system so one way the zobolonian user needs to download the zobolonian language file for the appication the other way he needs to carefully choose the correct zobolonian language file. OTOH if you're only supporting a single platfrom (like win9x) there's seesntially no difference from the user's POV From the developers POV hovever spelling miustakes are easier to correct in a text file than in a compiled file (library or executable) also it's easier to spellcheck a file that containins only human language and no program code :) -=> Bye <=- --- (3:640/1042)* Origin: You think "I'm no fool!" but I am! - Spike Milligan SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 640/1042 531 954 774/605 123/500 106/1 379/1 633/267 |
