Why not? Someone's been killed, and the police usually get involved in

If there's no difference between a baby and a zygot, then there's no
difference between the death of a baby and the death of a zygot. The state
claims the right to protect the welfare of babies, and so would have to
protect the welfare of zygots to the same extent.
