Hi Joe!
I've still got a Hammond B2, which is the same cabinet as the B3, but
without purcussion and volt tubes and a Leslie 122 to go along with it.
I hope to one day disassemble it all all, refinish the cabinet, and get
the electronics and tone generator assemblies back in shape, and get new
drivers and electronics for the Leslie, and the high horn (someone
thought they needed them more than me when it was sitting in my van.
Too much of the electronic keyboard industry is outmoding equipment too
quickly, like my old synthesisers. I just sold an ARP 2600 to a dealer
in LA, and am getting ready to sell my Solina/ARP String ensemble and
Oberheim 4 voice with programmer.. mid seventies state of the art, and
my Tangent 32/16 24 channel 16 buss console which was mid 70's typical
console used in studios back then. While all of this stuff is every bit
as good as it ever was, it's too easy to get digital versions of the
same things that do twice and three times as much for a portion of the
original cost of this equipment!
