Good Morning, Darrell -
About that message on 12-07-1998 from Darrell Salter to Dave Hamilton:
DS> I didn't know Watcom supported Linux executables?!?
Mine doesn't. 10.6 is what I have.
DS> Anyway, if you do
DS> the port and compile the executable with gnu c, will you make the
DS> make file available as well?
When I asked to join the XE team, I was pretty clear about asking
that the sources be released along with the binaries, as is the
convention in the linux world. This is especially necessary if
it is to run on alpha, 68xxx, etc.
Nobody said "no," but nobody said "yes" either. It is
my intention
at this point to get it running on RedHat and Slackware, then to
turn the results back to the team so that the Linux users there
can alphatest it. The team will determine when it is ready to
be released, not me.
Best,
dave
