Car detailers use supermarket sodium bicarbonate powder to remove
waterspots from auto glass and mirrors. Don't know if I'd want to try this
on a precision polished surface, however.
Can anybody compare the relative particle size and abrasive potential of
calcium carbonate versus sodium bicarbonate?
I recall discussions here about at least one company that wipes down
mirrors with dry Cerium Oxide powder prior to coating.
