So, one posterior orfice wants to enshrine another posterior orfice. Why on
Earth did that have that idiot Carville speaking there anyway? Is he a
former Bayou Bungle, too?
No matter your feelings about North vs. South, Sherman was a posterior. He
allowed his men to do a bunch of stupid things that wound up costing the
victorious government a lot of $$$ to fix. I have read accounts from officers
under Sherman who thought that the orders they were under were to disassemble
the infrastructure, but that the men were being allowed to disassemble and
then burn/destroy it all.
Sherman thought he was on some mission from God and didn't give a damn.
