Mostly, and the discographies at their pages now list everything,
there have always been somethings or other going about, but it
seems that other than the HERE & NOW stuff, ( Floating Anarchy was
the first ), and later all the stuff that Daevid Allen and just about
all the other Gongos did with Gilly and Mother Gong. But GAS
lists a whole lot of stuff, in the past twenty years, some of
which sounds rather esoteric, but I sure would love to ear it.
ZU, if I remember correctly, played at that LA show in the small theatre
with Chronicle, Y. Saeffer, and New York Gong, way back when. It was,
I understand, the first time that Daevid Allen toured america, though
he was disappointed that there was no Gong per se. NY Gong, though,
did not do a real good job playing gomg at all, in my book. If I
remeber it right, basically they were musicians that liked Gong, that
decided to join Allen for the west coast play around.
David is on record saying that, at the time he was not very happy,
and he didn't feel the music was that good.
