Yea, anyways I also designed and build a gamma spectrometer, been some years
since I played with all that,
was even subscribed to some related google group at the time.
The gamma spectrometer and that GM counter is sitting next to me:

  had no time yet to look a this, the PMT (in the large green cardboard tube)
needs changing (old Russian one abused by me).
