It's like the IBM and Microsoft story, nobody could knock them down but
themselves. We are no different or are you trying to make me believe we
couldn't have possibly won that war? Heck we didn't even try, it was a
"limited" war in that from this side it was a question of how
much could the president get away with spending (it was viewed as welfare
for the defense industry instead of as a war) not a "we'll do whatever
it takes" attitude.
