Jim: I read all of your posts and would like to know by what authority you
make your observations. You state statistics regarding the number
of HS children that go on to complete higher education, (not in this
post, but in at least one of the other ones), but neglect to cite
any source material to back-up your statistics.
You mentioned in one of your messages that you are WORKING on
your doctoral thesis in education, but in another post to Regina Finan
you signed your name as "James Prior, Phd Education".
May I ask which one of these statements is true?
You are obviously a man of deep passions. I would suggest that
if you are looking for friendship and a meaningful exchange of ideas
you should soften your tone. Diatribes only incite petty bickering.
Many of us here are searching for solutions. We are dealing with
very difficult, sensitive, and sometimes painful realities.
When you dump salt on our wounds you achieve nothing. At least you
achive nothing good.
I'll forgive your anger and believe you were just having a
"bad hair day". I hope you didn't incite a riot in this echo.
ALL: Put your flame throwers away. We don't want to set an example for
our children that insults delivered require insults returned. There
are more intelligent ways to deal with tactless individuals.
I'll bet that there isn't one of you out there who hasn't had a
"bad hair day"!
