subject: USR Courier sysop deals ?

TL> I heard from someone (maybe Ian) quite a while ago, that you were the
TL> person to talk to about sysop deals for USR
TL> Courier modems ? Or at least
TL> you might know who to talk to about it ?

DT> I've had a USR on order from their Sysop Support
DT> section since 1st of Feb, early this month I received a
DT> letter telling me they had no delivery date yet, it's
DT> pretty piss poor to say the least. I still don't know
DT> where I stand after another call state side. If I don't
DT> get a reply soon I'll cut my loses and buy a "local"
 DT> brand.

Yeah ... Seems a long time to wait to save a few $ :)

DT> I've spent about $50 on overseas phone calls, if I was
DT> you I wouldn't waste my time or money.

DT> Also they will only ship the Austel approved version to
DT> Oz, their Local version doen't leave US shores now.

So the only difference, is you get it a bit cheaper, and wait a year :) It is
still the same one you would get in Australia :)
