I don't know how much help this will be but here is the ISBN number of a book 
which even comes with PowerBasic Lite (sort of like the relation ship between 
Qbasic and QuickBasic) that is geared towards learning from the PowerBasic 
point of view.  It may be a little dated because it is copyright 1992 but at 
least it would be a starting point if you could latch onto a copy.  ISBN
