| subject: | Re: Tragic Dog loss |
From: "Glenn Meadows"
She's walked her property several times since she got home last week,
hasn't found anything suspicious yet.
Got this AM's update just a few minutes ago.
well, spencer has no appetite, and as i now recall never did like liver. so
there goes that idea of filling her with iron. but, fortunately the dog
loves cream cheese and it hides pills very well! Cream cheese isn't filled
with vitamins and such though. She isn't liking gatoraid or v8 either.
grrrrrrrrrrr but she is still nibbling on hotdogs. so i gave her as many as
she would eat this morning, which was only about 3 or 4. restless all night
again, and my dang ac is not blowing real cold air at all... so it's almost
80 in here - i'm hoping my neighbor can give it a shot of freon today - he
does maintenance at an apt. complex and some contract work on the side.
always something.
i am a bit concerned again because at 6am she went outside to go potty and
i watched her from the window and saw her wanting to throw up... she did
just a little 3 times, not much, mostly just dinner food... but the last
time there was blood in it. God, i just hope she is not bleeding inside due
to more reaction from that poison. i will keep a very close eye on her all
day still and if she does that again, i will either call the emergency
clinic or just take her there. she's just so weary, yet bored and
restless..... and obviously sick. I hate seeing her like this and being
sooo dang helpless. she is reabsorbing the blood now and looking physically
better... although i really would like her to be eating more... this
nibbling stuff isn't going to get her strong again. but I know when i'm
sick i rarely want to eat either, maybe i should see if she likes chicken
oup???????
Fortunately she is drinking a TON of water, so I know she's staying hydrated.
This is such a nightmare.
