In all fairness, I think some American women are quite tolerable
just as many Russian women are less than ideal.

Heidi Graw wrote that oftentimes American professional women
form "welcome wagons" for foreign professional men working
on H1-Bs.

These women may treat the men better than the native fare
because they appear exotic and especially interesting.
I have a Russian friend who has been hit on by very
hot, attractive professional U.S. women who earned double his
income.  He was too principled to go for it but I'm sure
there are other men who won't sneer at the offer.

Of course, the key is that these men have to fall into
the woman's laps (work in her office) AND there aren't too
many foreign women of the man's type in his local
community.  As I said, in the past 10 years local
immigrant communities have seen a boom as many are not
longer content for "taco bell" or Mcd's fare and want
to go to their own ethnic restaurants and hangouts.
