Fred, while {COMMO} runs wonderful under Windows95, I would like to take the
time to throw something at you.
Your {COMMO} is known to be one of the smallest, fasters, yet most complete
(as simple as it can be) communications programs for the basic DOS user or
programmer. However, there is no such thing in the Window field. I would
like to see a communications program with the same scripting ability, same
fast reliable internal protocols, same ability to add on, in a Windows based
communications program. This program would have to be capable of being TAPI
or MAPI compliant, TELNET capable (inbound or outbound if it was done right I
guess), and yet be compatible for the blind.
With the vast majority of people moving to some form of a Windowed
environment, it would be probably a good interrest of yours to get involved
with this.
One more comment. You would not need to write a Windows based program
ersay,
but instead at least a Windows\OS/2 TEXT console based application, as so you
could make sure of the TCP/IP stack and communications drivers of Windows or
OS/2. This would definately get a registration from me, as I am in need of a
comm program that can support EASY yet POWERFUL scripting on TELNET and FTP
connections.
Hey, I'm just tossing a suggestion your way... I don't feel you should
issout
on some of the stuff you could be doing, but I do understand there is a much
larger complexity with writing Windows or OS/2 based applications, even
console based.
