A single payer style plan would, under proper control, increase payments by
about 6-7% but there would be zero deductable. You get sick, you go to the
doctor and walk out healthy.... both physically and economically.  I am sure
there would be a small co-pay on meds but nothing in the vicinity we're paying
now.  Basically take Medicare and put it on steroids. And trust me, Medicare is
not failing. All those conservative whackos saying it's failing... just ask
them to pay back the $2.3 trillion they borrowed from it.  See how quick the
failing part gets tucked away somewhere.
