Hi again, Dan.
-> DC==>... I have heard of getting the crabs, but never the barnacles!
-> MC> How about Zebra Mussels?
-> Are they a big problem around you way?
They're just beginning to show up in Lake Simcoe, which I live on. When
I was sailing and camping in Georgian Bay, they were much more
prevalent. Ended up with cuts and scrapes from stepping on them or
scraping against rocks with them on. Apparently they filter the water,
but in the process threaten current species of aquatic life. So, I'm
told, you end up with very clear water, but few living things in it.
They also clog water lines etc.
-> Out in the state of Washington, on the north shore. Victoria, BC is
-> about 25 miles across the Straits of Juan de Fuca from me.
Sounds like a very nice area to live.
