DC>> You need to get in touch with xxCarol. She's trying to lose DC>> hers! MK> Can someone tell me what "sea-legs" are? As a former commercial fisherman, I can. A seaman's workplace has a floor that moves up, down, sideways, rolls and pitches all at the same time; the body acclimates itself to that and compensates to a degree that, after a few hours or days it becomes "normal" and one can nearly predict the movement and act, not react, accordingly. xxcarol, referenced above, is in the Navy and has spent the last 6 months at sea and she, like so many others that work on the w2ater, is having a very hard time standing on firm ground. I've seen grouper fishermen get off the boat after 3 weeks at sea and nearly fall down on the dock because it didn't move.. --- McGuffey's Reader GoldED+/W32* Origin: (1:3613/1275) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 3613/1275 123/500 106/2000 633/267 |
