Think of it this way, if you could block the pressure then you could block
it from only one direction and use the pressure as a means of propulsion.
What you are doing with a steel pressure tank is blocking the pressure by
using it to cancel itself out, pressure that pushes on one side of the tank
is being cancelled out by pressure pushing on the opposite side of the tank
so you can now have a pressureless zone inside the tank. That's different
than actually blocking it. We can do that with gravity by using a plane and
doing a climb then a dive, as you crest the top you have a weightless
environment, but you have not blocked gravity.

It can't be done because it's not a pull from the earth, it's a push from
everywhere else almost like pressure from the water but with more of a
transitional zone because of the way matter distorts space. (like changing
depth in the water)
