Hi! mark,

On Sat, 08 Mar 14, you wrote to me:

Yes, I've done the same in the past. I did try at least one vBox
configured for another foreign locale but it didn't work due to the IP
being the same. Some sites are able to sniff-out the originating IP,
beyond the proxy. (Maybe those well-known proxy sites have been subjected
to website hacking of sorts.[shrug]) These days I don't bother if it's too
hard.

I've been using the 'Flash Video Downloader' add-on for a long time, and
absolutely love it. Too much, in fact. I'm running out of HDD space on
some drives with the multi-media downloaded so far. Most, if not all, is a
spare copy of our CD/DVD collection in any case, but much handier for our
two WDTV media players hanging off of our two wide-screen TVs. The DVD
player gets little use these days.

Same here. No real need any more. I like to do it very occasionally, to
keep my 'hand in', and then only on my main Puppy vBox.

Well. I thought I'd ask, as some music videos will not D/L due to some
'commercial content' no doubt. The vids are poor quality IAC so I'm
confused as to why the 'net ghods have decided to put the kybosh on the
notion of D/L-ing _some_ vids & not others (complete albums). It
doesn't hurt to ask, does it? ;-)

Cheers,
Paul.
