My blackface runs between 400 & 410. Normally that would be too high
but because it's cathode biased there's sort of a "regulating" effect
(for lack of a better term) that allows even Russian tubes to survive.
That said, I did put in a larger cathode resistor in mine to lower the
current thru the tube. Didn't see to effect the sound.
