CM> Looks like it - I never knew how to pick out a sweet
CM> watermelon until this year - heard a tip on the local
CM> TV to look for a yellow bottom. The one I bought, with a
CM> yellow bottom, was the best, and sweetest, watermelon
CM> I've ever had.
Just recently I was given an additional tip on watermellon picking. In
addition to the Yellow bottom test you have spoken of if you look at the part
where teh stem was you can get it even better in sweetness. Like belly
uttons
the stem connection is either an "Innie" or an "Outie". Pass on the Good
yellow bottom watermellons that don't have the start of an "Outie" at the
stem.
