Sorry. Front End Processor. Provided routing services and connection
¨services. Mainframe version is tiny bit like 'FrontDoor' or 'IREX' in
concept ¨if you add in a brouter.
I wrote the SOP for the Burroughs 2900 mainframe FEP and tested it by
having a ¨secretary bring the system up from a dead coldstart. She did
just fine. Got ¨an NAM for that one .

Yeah, but a DOS box with no reboot, running flawless for 8.5 months is not
