That is neat.  The "%H:%M:%S" can be shortened to "%X"
which produces the exact same thing.  The list can be gotten from
"date --help" or "man date".  Up to now I have been
using "date" in bash scripts to extract the same information so I
was happy when I encountered strftime in the POSIX module.  Like I said,
it's a keeper.
