    Or at least, the limitations of some programs (which likely will never be
updated, since who knows where the authors are...).  Certainly that's
something to keep in mind;  but are there known programs that have problems
with the number of msgs in a packet?  I'd always thought the problem was
with the size of some messages, in a packet..
