A Beaumant is basically, from the frame, and cowl back a Chevelle. It has
"Pontiac" front fenders, hood, and type typical Pontiac split grille. They
look cool, mostly becuase they look just different enough from a chevelle to
be unique. Engines here in Canada could be anything. =) Chevy, Pontiac,
Olds, Buick- which applies to just about any pre-1976 GM product.
We've also got the Pontiac Acadian (Nova), similar in nature to the
Beaumant in that its underpinnings and cowl back is standard X-body stuff,
with the pontiac grille, but in this case, the same fenders and hood.
And then theres the Buick Apollo, which could have anything from a Chevy I6,
Pontiac 350, Chevy 350, and buick 350 in it.
As far as I am aware (I;ve been trying to find information on this, since it
looks like an intriguing swap for the regular I6) the OHC-6 was only
available in 68 or 69 (can't remember correctly at the moment) and was
apparently a high priced option. It could be had in (apparently) in the
Pontiac line up, including the Firebirds and Tempest series.
And heres one more Canadian Only, late 70s Plymouth Caravelle. Basically, a
Dodge Diplomat.
We have what I like to call, the Platypus' of the automotive world. =)
