Perjury is a felony, but filing a false police report is only a
misdemeanor - doesn't matter what the consequences of that police
report are.

The MOST that any judge would be allowed to sentence her to is eight
months county jail.

It's amazing enough that any woman gets prosecuted for filing a false
police report.  I see a lot of that going on in my county, and the DA
NEVER prosecutes.
